I wanted to sketch something with a Chinese hint, and this sparked an idea (I hate drawing trees by themselves :) ) Pencil on drawing paper, 1 hour, 8.5 x 11.5”

The one hour is a bit of a guess as I got a phone call mid painting (plus a few other distractions) I got to the figure at about 5 minutes before the time limit, hence the real rough foreground. I overlayed a starmap from NASA for some extra stars, but mostly the space scene is hand painted Photoshop, about 1200 x 750 pixels

Because this was a quick self portrait, I traced a happy snap I took as I wanted to play with painting rather than drawing, and knew I wouldn’t have time to do it accurately in the time allotted (I suck at self portraits)
